Everything was fine apart from the shower controls. I couldn't switch the water from cold to hot and back properly. Service also felt pretty basic, like the staff hadn't been helping guests for long. Maybe it was because of Valentine's Day, but I can't say for sure.

It was a quiet spot for tourists, and the service was excellent.

The bathroom was a highlight: really clean, well equipped, lovely to look at, and stocked with plenty of towels. The room itself was spotless too, though I'd give it an 8 out of 10. Breakfast was included and served buffet style. It was very basic, but fine, and the staff serving us were attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant as well. Getting the room sorted was frustrating. On Sunday, February 15th, I messaged on WhatsApp at 7:45 pm about a room I'd seen on their social media, and asked for rates and details on all the rooms. A young woman replied at 7:56 pm, introduced herself, and asked my name. I gave it to her at 7:57 pm and asked about suite prices for a 12-hour stay, from 8 pm to 8 am. At 8:13 pm she said there was availability, or possibly the next day. My companion then called the landline. They offered the only room available for 280 soles, without a name or description, and said I had to come pay immediately to hold it. Our Uber was already on its way, so my companion told me to take it. I tried not to let that get to me and wanted to enjoy the place. At check-in, no receptionist was there. We said we had a reservation and wanted to settle in, but the woman present said her colleague, who knew about the rooms, wasn't around. The rate chart wasn't displayed, and she couldn't tell us which room we'd booked or what came with it. We paid so we could go to dinner, then returned to find the room ready. She asked for our IDs, but after taking them, told us we'd get them back when we checked out. We went to eat and the receptionist still hadn't returned afterward. The same young man was there and handed us the key. I again asked about each room's price and what was included, since nobody had sent that information over WhatsApp. We went up to our room on the third floor. There was no elevator, and in that heat I expected a split air conditioner, not a fan. I was also uncomfortable with them holding our ID cards. Private businesses such as hotels, nightclubs, and security booths are not allowed to keep physical IDs under Law No. 29733, which protects privacy and personal documents. You should only have to show an ID for identification and registration. The room had a jacuzzi, and after getting it filled with warm water I added the bubbles, which didn't work. I called reception to ask for mimosas, but they had none, so we got mojitos instead, and those were good. When I switched on the whirlpool, moldy rose petals came out. The Aquarium room was the more luxurious one I wanted, but it wasn't available. If they'd sent the room prices and amenities up front, I'd have known what the 280 soles room included. Since the guy didn't explain it when we arrived either, I was left wondering whether it was really worth that amount, or whether it might have been a 100 soles room. I didn't have enough information to compare. The missing price details and the ID situation left a bad taste, even though parts of the stay, especially the bathroom, breakfast service, and atmosphere, were good.
