It’s handy if you’re in Tarapoto and spending the day or evening in town rather than out on a tour, since it’s close to the city center. Customer service is good, and the breakfast included with the rooms is okay. The city’s well-known restaurants are a bit farther off, but still no more than a 15-minute walk.

We only needed a place to rest for a few hours before our evening flight, after a bad stay elsewhere, and Hotel Cielo turned out to be a real comfort. The team welcomed us warmly and treated our situation with understanding, which helped ease the stress of the day. The room was clean and comfortable, and the indoor pool with its big, colorful mural makes the common areas feel especially soothing and artistic. You can see the care in the decor and details. The central Tarapoto location also worked well for our stopover. A lovely surprise, whether you stay a few hours or overnight.
