Jose and Vanessa are really nice and helpful, and the hostel has a great vibe. It's in a quiet part of tarapoto, close to the market, with the buses and combis for getting around the area right next door. I preferred being out of the busy, noisy centre. There's also a kitchen and laundry you can use.

I stayed for 20 days and felt at home because the family runs the place. Everyone was very nice, and the price was the best part: they gave me a single-bed room for 20 soles (5 USD) a night. You can pay by card too. God bless them!

The staff are very friendly and helped us with directions to tourist spots and getting around. We made a mistake with our booking, and they recommended a good place for the rest of our trip. The hostel is nice and matches what you can expect for the price. Each room has a fan.
