Plaza Trujillo Hotel

The historic center location is excellent, just one block from the Plaza de Armas on a quiet street. This was a great place to stay in Trujillo. The building is well maintained, and rooms at the back are wonderfully quiet, which is rare in Peru, while still having a small window for daylight and fresh air. My room was spotless and cleaned daily. The bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi was excellent, and there was a small refrigerator. Breakfast was the classic coffee, papaya juice, bread, and eggs. Service was very attentive. A couple of small issues: the shower wasn’t always very hot, and there was no hairdryer in the room. Maybe one is available on request, but I had my own, so it didn’t matter to me. My room was smaller than some photos make it look, though still perfectly adequate for one person. The price was reasonable, but a bit higher than places of the same standard in Chiclayos, for example.

This quiet hotel is a converted house, with high ceilings, a small dining room, and clean, well-equipped rooms. Prices are reasonable.

The staff were friendly and professional, and the place felt secure, comfortable, and hygienic. We had a pleasant, peaceful stay with hot and cold water. Prices are a little above usual, but I think it’s worth it. It’s on Jirón Bolognesi, block 3, near the Plaza de Armas.

The place was clean and comfortable, but the booking terms weren’t honored. They tried to charge extra to turn on the air conditioning, and the amount charged in soles didn’t match what the reservation showed. Call ahead to confirm the exact price and what’s included before you arrive.
