This is a friendly little hostel in a decent spot, perhaps a 10-minute walk from the bus station. It’s not a party hostel, and seems better suited to families or groups. WiFi is only in the lobby. The sleeping buildings are separate from the main office and lounge.

The buffet breakfast is good, with fresh juice and an egg, and tea and coffee are available for free at any time. The gardens are lovely and sunny, full of flowers, and the rooms are cleaned and tidied daily. It feels more like a hotel than a hostel, with very comfortable beds and good-quality linen. WiFi only works in reception and the living room, but it’s a nice break, and 4G is fine. The staff are helpful and very nice.

The rooms were cozy and I was happy with them. The place itself is beautiful, but dogs and cats howling through the night was an issue, even though that’s outside their control. Breakfast was good for a continental meal, but service could’ve been faster. It’s a cheeky little town. I’d avoid the tourist-trap restaurants and try the local food.

The hostess Alexandra is lovely and will go out of her way to help, even with things like holding onto documents or money. The hostel has a beautiful garden, a nice breakfast, free tea, and warm, cozy beds. Highly recommend!

There’s a family feel here, and the gardens are what really make the place stand out. The included breakfast has egg, fruit, and cheese alongside the usual bread, butter, and jam.
