San Agustin Urubamba

Around 9 p.m., a family was performing some kind of ritual. The hotel itself felt neglected and dirty, not just old. I asked to change rooms and went through three different bathrooms, all with mold in the showers. The towels were stained, torn, and worn out. Don't be fooled by the pictures, which look heavily photoshopped.

Breakfast was yummy, and sitting out in the lovely garden made it even nicer. The courtyard and garden are beautiful, and the staff were friendly. It felt like waking up in a Disney palace.

We only stayed one night and didn't have much time, but it was comfortable. Our suite had two large rooms, plenty of storage, and places to charge our devices. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed except air conditioning. It was cool enough that we didn't feel we needed AC. The bathroom was large and stocked with soap, shampoo, shower gel, and towels. There were lots of flowers outside and the landscaping was nice. The restaurant area was pleasant, and breakfast was decent.

With six of us in the family, we spent one night at this beautiful hacienda. The dining hall was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed dinner there as well as breakfast the next morning. We also liked the gardens, the fireplaces, and the challenge of playing on the uneven pool table. I'd love to come back.
