Casona Plaza Hotel Ecolodge Colca

The rooms are big and clean, and the place is tidy and not too expensive. The restaurant food was okay, and the staff there were nice, though more smiles would be welcome. The hotel could be one of the best in Colca if they put more Soles into the garden and electrical equipment. The garden is too big for a place with so few people. The hairdryer and electricity are terrible. Once those electrical problems are fixed, I’d give it 4/5 stars. For now, just okay, mainly because of the electricity.

A lovely quiet spot, peaceful and beautiful. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.

The property itself was well kept, with a nice restaurant and a bonfire spot in the middle. I’d recommend staying, but make sure to check which room you’re booking. Our first room had bugs and insects all over the floor, and I found a spider under the pillow. I didn’t want to think about what might be under the sheets. When I asked reception for bug spray, the woman offered to move us instead, which surprised me. The replacement room had carpet, a better bathroom, and a TV, none of which the first room had. I assume the rooms may differ in price. I’d ordered dinner ahead, onion soup followed by trout, and enjoyed both.

For a three-star hotel, I expected more. The rooms are cold, and breakfast was really poor. It’s clean and not bad, but I don’t think it deserves three stars.
