The food was brilliant, and the hotel has gorgeous decor, lovely views all around, and everything feels brand new. The service was five-star, and it’s a beautiful place. My shower did leak a little onto the bathroom floor, but that didn’t affect my five-star rating. They have heaters if your room gets cold at night, plus all kinds of activities and canyon tours. Very good value for what you get.

The fireplace was amazing, and the hotel is remarkable, with spotlessly clean rooms and restrooms. We loved staying at Puerta Del Sol. Dennis greeted us and went out of his way to make us feel at home. This new little gem is easily the best place to stay in Colca. Thanks to Dennis and the staff!

The breakfast buffet and the rest of the food were excellent, and the service was attentive throughout. The new hotel is grand, with beautiful views across the Colca Valley, and having a whirlpool tub in the room was a real bonus. It’s outside the nearby towns, but tour operators pick you up, and local taxis are very affordable. Highly recommended.
