Bora Bora Holiday's Lodge and Villa

There’s a hiking trail behind this charming little inn that goes up to the WWII cannons. It’s on Bora Bora’s main island and feels like the best value around. My room was comfortable, breakfast was excellent, and it was served by the pool with a lagoon view. The staff were very charming and helpful.

I felt completely relaxed here, almost like I was at a retreat. It’s a small business, and Marie actually lives on the property and takes care of it. The place is very clean and well run, with service better than at most hotels I’ve stayed in. Marie is warm and welcoming, and breakfast is mostly made with produce from her organic garden. There are lots of fruit trees, plus organic herbs and spices around the property. She also supervises the workers, who seem to have been with her for a long time, which gave me the impression she treats them well. The stay exceeded my expectations by far.

We were already in touch with Maheata before we arrived, and she booked dinner for us at the Yacht Club. When our flight was delayed, Maire waited an hour at the pier to pick us up. She was wonderful, and we were touched by the beautiful gifts she gave us. The next day she booked a lagoon snorkeling tour and drove us to the boat herself, making sure we got on. She even went out of her way to help us enjoy the sunset at St James that evening. MAURUURU Maire! Thanks as well to Maheata, Hamau, Aly, and the whole lovely team at Bora Bora Lodge. We’re already planning to come back. The family owners’ warmth and friendliness really set this hotel apart, and they do so much to make a stay memorable. The Bora Bora Holiday Lodge is a great place to stay: the room was clean, with all the amenities we needed, excellent air-con, and a comfy bed for resting after a lagoon tour or other island adventure. The estate is beautiful, and Vaipete’s lovely restaurants aren’t too far away. We had breakfast by the pool, with fresh fruit and garden produce. It was delicious and really fresh! Peter and Vessela

We stayed in the upper bungalow and had spectacular lagoon views. This is a high-quality family business, and they care about everyone and everything. I’d recommend it 100%.
