The setting is magnificent, the food was excellent, and the generous, helpful family made this guesthouse one of our best stays in French Polynesia. Thank you again to all the staff for making the visit unforgettable. The negative reviews don’t reflect the place we experienced.

Falling asleep and waking up to the sea, with that view across the lagoon, mattered far more to us than a few dated details. The bungalows could use updating, and some things didn’t work perfectly, but we had a wonderful, relaxing week on the motu. Tarome, Theodore, and their sons were absolutely lovely. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews online. Tarome’s cooking was divine, and you could taste the care she put into it.

Even with quite a lot of rain, we had a fantastic stay. Thank you to Théodore and everyone at the guesthouse for sharing stories about the Koh Lanta team's visit. We loved the meals, which suited vegetarians too, and preferred the guesthouse food to the Ma'a Tahiti we had at a restaurant. The bungalows look over the lagoon and a neighboring atoll, and the number of fish you can see from the beach is impressive. We even spotted blacktip reef sharks. The excursion is a must, with some magnificent places around Tahaa to see.

This guesthouse is on a small island, and the owner is very welcoming and pleasant. Pension Atger was the Koh-Lanta team's base during the COVID period. The local dishes and other food were a real treat. I recommend it for a short stay if you want a complete change of scenery.
