Blue Star Dive & Resort

The pool was lovely and warm, and the food was very good. The waiters were the sweetest I’ve ever come across, and all the staff were kind and helpful. We were there to go diving too, and the diving staff were fantastic and friendly. We expected a lot and the place still gave us more than we’d hoped for. Fantastic.

I wasn’t staying at the resort, I came for my AOW course. Everyone working there was so nice and helpful. Jason, my diving instructor, and his team gave me the best experience I could have asked for.

We felt safe learning with Jason during our Open Water course. He was a wonderful, encouraging teacher, and we went on to do five more dives with Blue Star. On those dives, Aya and Yam were our guides, both friendly and skilled at spotting marine life. We asked about frog fish, since they’re camouflaged and hard to find, and they found some. We also saw loads of nudibranch, turtles, scorpionfish, lion fish, eel, an electric clam, and more. Thanks for looking after us so well in and out of the water! :)

The house reef right in front of the resort has beautiful soft corals, and we often spotted turtles while snorkeling. We spent six days at this cozy place and loved it. The staff are genuinely kind, always smiling and friendly, and everyone at the dive center was welcoming and upbeat. Jason deserves a special mention for talking my skeptical wife into trying Discover Scuba Diving after I’d suggested it several times and she’d said no. Our 14-year-old daughter did her Open Water course here too, and I can’t think of a better place for her to have done it. Friends had recommended the resort, so we arrived with high expectations and weren’t disappointed.
