Kokomo's Suites Hotel

The room was large, with quiet, powerful AC and fast WiFi. The location is great, and ordering from Kokomos Restaurant on Walking Street gets you a 10% discount with no delivery fee. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean, and there was clean water and a hot shower. The front desk lady was helpful and quick to respond. Parking is limited, the bathroom sink was clogged, and there’s no bidet. I’d also appreciate complimentary water.

The staff were really friendly, and having a studio-style apartment made staying with my kid easy. There was a decent-sized room and a big fridge, so for a longer stay you can cook and stock your own food. The restaurant is also just a short walk away. We had a really nice stay, and I’d highly recommend this place, especially if you’re in town for a while.

I’ve stayed here three times. The location is good, close to everything, with a 7/11 two buildings away, SM Clark Mall about a 10 to 15 minute walk, and Fields Walking Street around 10 minutes away. Most of the staff are good, though one receptionist is very reserved. It’s an old hotel and not very clean. In November 2019, the bathroom water was dirty brown and muddy. Staff said they had informed management, but nothing had been done by the time I wrote this. There are no views from the side windows because other buildings surround the hotel. Construction on a new building on one side also meant daytime noise and disturbance in November 2019.

There’s plenty of storage in the large room, plus lots of outlets that take 220/110v and triple plugs. The bed is hard, and the pillows are flat and worn out. The AC runs constantly but still can’t cool the room enough, and the water pressure is low. It was very dusty and needs cleaning. Reception seemed poorly trained, and maintenance was poor. It’s a smoking hotel, and no ID was required.
