The room was a decent size and the location worked well. The price was reasonable too, but service took a long time. When I checked in, there wasn’t a towel, so I called reception to ask for a bath towel and had to call again to follow up. The air conditioner smelled as well. I phoned reception at 8 pm, but they said they had no air freshener. The restroom looks old and needs reconstruction.

I’m undecided about staying here on my next visit to Angeles, though most alternatives seem worse. My king room was huge, with space for another single bed and still enough room to open a suitcase. The bed was very comfortable, the large CR had a nice shower, and the TV suited the room, but it wouldn’t take an HDMI input, so I couldn’t play movies or Netflix from my computer. WiFi averaged about 25 Mbps, which was acceptable, and Grab drivers were usually available within minutes. There were a few practical annoyances. The toilet seat with its built-in bidet is cheap, and turning the water up high floods the floor. My shower also caused some flooding, though it wasn’t a big deal. Hot and cold water became unstable when usage was heavy. The elevators were slow and poorly programmed, and often left me waiting. Noise was a bigger problem. Events outside and in the hallways could be very loud, making it hard to sleep. The food was expensive and didn’t meet expectations. My room door never shut fully by itself, so the ajar alarm kept sounding.

For the price, the room was comfortable and well kept, with a roomy layout, pleasant design, adequate amenities, working air conditioning and shower heater, a clean comfort room, a comfortable bed and a smart TV. Breakfast was decent too. The staff were generally helpful, especially Bryan at the front desk, who was friendly and professional. We had a problem with the room we originally booked and were eventually moved to a lower-grade one. The hotel compensated us with two days of complimentary breakfast, which we appreciated. A power outage lasted about five hours. We asked whether we could extend our stay by two hours as a courtesy, but they couldn’t accommodate that. Even so, the stay was worthwhile for the price.

We paid over 6600 for one night for our anniversary and felt completely scammed. The room didn’t look like the photos on the website, and once we went upstairs, the disappointment set in. The huge, clean lobby gave a much better impression than the room, which felt damp, poorly maintained and dirty. There was missing furniture, the WiFi didn’t work at all, the mini fridge smelled awful and didn’t work, and the elevator felt scary because it stopped midway. The bed didn’t look like it had fresh sheets, and there was a dead baby cockroach near the refrigerator. A horrible experience overall. We called customer service repeatedly about the problems. They said they’d check, then never followed up. Staff kept ringing our room even when we hadn’t ordered anything, then said they had the wrong room. They didn’t seem reliable or hospitable. Breakfast wasn’t tasty, and the food looked unsanitary enough to make us afraid to try it.

The staff were the best part, especially maintenance and housekeeping. They were very friendly, though the front desk was a bit rude. For a solo traveler this might be an okay cheap hotel, but I wouldn’t really recommend it. The room was very large, but the lights were incredibly dim, particularly in the bathroom. Water from the shower leaked so much that it flooded the floor, and the towel bar fell off. The WiFi was nearly useless, taking forever to load a video. The bed itself was fine, but I found blood and pen ink under the comforter. I was too tired to ask for a replacement. The small fridge worked, though it had an odd smell, and some of the drawers didn’t work. We also had to ask for basics like towels and slippers that weren’t there at check-in. They only allow one keycard per room, which may suit someone traveling alone but was a hassle when two people had separate plans. The front desk told us to contact housekeeping just to get back inside. One other odd thing: our windows faced chairs outside that pointed toward our room, which made me feel like someone might be watching us 😭😭.
