Bosay Resort

The swimwear rules at Bosay Resort were unreasonable and inconsistent, and they ended up ruining most of our trip. We were told we had to wear cycling shorts, which we didn't have, so we had to walk out and buy some. It took about 15 minutes to get back to the entrance with our swimwear. Even after following the rule, a friend in non-cotton spandex was turned away from the Disco Pool, Wave Pool, and other pools. Another group member had a proper one-piece swimsuit with lace, but was also refused because of the lace. We asked the staff about it and got sent to the office, where people were rude and dismissive and insisted we change again into their preferred swimwear. We were frustrated at the thought of walking back another 15 minutes, especially since most of us were already in swimwear. In the end, we could only use one pool. There were other problems too. The pools were poorly lit on our night swim, which seemed unsafe for adults and kids, and lifeguards weren't attentive. They seemed more focused on nitpicking about swimwear than watching swimmers. The grills were rusty and dirty, the restrooms were unpleasant and unclean, and the place was noisy even though guests weren't allowed to bring speakers. They were also very strict about corkage, even for small items. Our room's aircon was weak even set to 16°C, and there weren't enough monoblock chairs, so guests had to compete for seats in the cottages. When we called the front desk for assistance, nobody answered, and staff we approached often looked annoyed or unfriendly. The whole visit felt stressful, disorganized, and unwelcoming. For the price and trouble, I wouldn't recommend Bosay Resort if you're looking for good service, cleanliness, and a relaxing getaway.
