Hotel Le Carmen

This hotel is in Cebu city, the Philippines, around mango square mall. In my view, it's owned by a rich Filipino family that shows no respect. I advise people visiting from outside the Philippines to pay more for a hotel owned by a company, with a chain name known to you around the world, to feel safer. Don't take a room here if you might have even a small problem later. When looking for a place, I say to approach it properly informed, check for cameras everywhere, even by the reception desk, and make sure there's video evidence if you're robbed or treated badly by someone, even the owner. In my experience, a Filipino family that owns a hotel will always be considered right, no matter what. Hotels like these can be cheaper than those owned by corporations and familiar brands. Some Filipino-owned places don't even have a security guard, and you may be able to get a room without showing identification, which means anyone could be next door to you, from anywhere. Always look for uniformed employees and get a receipt for what you pay, which to me means they pay taxes instead of taking government funds.
