Looc Garden Beach Resort

The only good part was the clean, nice pool. The rooms were in poor shape, with ants in all of them, and the location is at the end of a very bad road. They don't allow food brought into rooms, and there are no glasses or plates available. Our family booked three rooms, but the free Wi-Fi that was supposed to work in every room only worked in one. The staff member, an elderly lady, was very rude and shouted that the room doors had to stay closed for the air conditioning. We know that, but opening one for a minute to speak to someone outside should be okay. The hotel is impossible to contact, and the website's rates and contact details aren't updated. It lists an extra guest at 100 pesos, but it's now as much as 400. Stay away and don't book. The online photos are far from reality.

They've renamed it “Looc Garden Beach Resort.” It's a quiet place that's fine for hanging out, with a great beach just 10 meters away, free parking, a garden, restaurant, pool, and newly built rooms. Prices are affordable. Visitors do have to pay to use the pool. The staff aren't very attentive, and you may be quoted a higher price, so check the menu first. They also don't offer food to non-residents.

We paid ₱900 for a Standard Room with just a fan. The resort's a bit frayed around the edges, but it's cheap and cheerful, and the local staff are nice. Worked well as an overnight stop after a long, hot drive.
