Fynn Boutique Hotel

We felt right at home during our two-week stay, thanks to the whole team. The staff were attentive and ready to help, including the kitchen and room service crews. We'd absolutely stay again.

The area around the hotel is busy, and the street draws a mixed crowd, so be careful if you're walking outside. There's a mall just a block away, plus local vendor booths along the main road. Inside, though, everything was pleasant. The lobby, restaurant, hallways and room were clean and nice, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the AC worked perfectly in the hot weather. I had daily housekeeping, a good breakfast, and a full body massage at the immaculate spa on the sixth floor. The price was hard to beat. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend it.

The biggest problem was the lack of hot water anywhere, including the shower and sink. We'd seen older and more recent reviews mentioning the same thing, with hotel replies saying they were looking into it, but it still hadn't been fixed. They also didn't tell us the heater was broken at check-in. Only after we complained did they explain and offer to boil water in a bucket and bring it up, warning that we should allow plenty of time before showering. The breakfast was poor, and the food smelled old, like leftovers reheated in a microwave. My child got very sick after eating it. The toilet paper roll was tiny, and the shower was so small that water went everywhere. The location is convenient, but access is through a one-way entrance off a busy street. Parking is shared with other businesses and gets crowded during the day. There's no valet, so you park underground and walk to the main floor for the elevator. The lobby, dining area, public bathrooms, halls and elevators have no AC, which is especially uncomfortable if you're in a family suite. The rooms do have mini-split units. They seemed dishonest and showed no urgency or accountability. It was a terrible experience.

The main issue for me was the rooms my family and my parents had, neither had windows. The lobby also echoes so much that the noise was annoying, especially when my child kept waking up while we were trying to sleep. The staff deserve five stars, though. They're helpful and easy to approach. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. There was chicken tocino, bihon, afritada, pork soup, rice, hash browns, Lucban chorizo, adobo beans, coffee, a few juices, banana and pineapple, small chocolate croissants, white bread and pandesal. The hot chocolate tasted commercial rather than like the real thing.
