Metro Pines Inn

A clean, affordable room with a comfortable bed and TV, plus a decent toilet and bath. Restaurants and Burnham Park are easy to reach from here. Just pack your own toiletries, since they don't provide enough.

The staff service is great, and the water pressure and drainage in both the shower and bathroom sink were good. There's a Mercury store next door for necessities, and the night market is about a 7-minute walk away. The rooms are decent and nothing fancy. The family room is okay for 4 guests, though it works better for 2 medium size person. The deluxe room is good for 2 medium size person, and the standard is really only decent for one person. There is a ceiling fan, but no air conditioner. In hot summer months, expect to feel warm. A standing ground fan is available for a charge. There's no fridge or microwave, and they don't provide a hairdryer or iron/iron board. Bring your own shampoo, hair conditioner, and body scrub. It's a 3 star, so don't compare it to a 4 star. I'd call it a 1-2 night stay, not somewhere to stay longer. They also won't give extra toilet tissue if you run out, so you'd have to wait until the next day if you're still a guest.

The shared balcony often had cigarette buds and food litter, and the water station was messy or out of clean cups. The rooms themselves are basic, which is fine, and there's no A/C, just a ceiling fan. The hotel is within walking distance of burnham park, the night market and SM Baguio City. A great budget hotel.

The room could have been cleaned more thoroughly, and that disappointment took away from the stay. Staff were generally friendly and accommodating, and the pet-friendly policy is a real plus for people traveling with furry companions. Metro pines Inn has a great location, especially for exploring near burnham. With better room cleanliness, it could be a more comfortable place to stay.
