Mines View Park Hotel

Our room had no view because the roof completely blocked it. I understand it was the cheapest room, but the hotel's rates are still high for what you get. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, water pressure weak, bathrooms dirty, and the entertainment system outdated, slow, and hard to use. We could only get YouTube working. Some of the staff, possibly students doing on-the-job training, were polite and helpful. The front desk staff felt cold, unfriendly, and unaccommodating. Breakfast was confusing. We were first told to use the buffet and had sat down to eat when someone said our booking only covered a plated meal. The instructions weren't clear, so it was frustrating. Check-out is at 11 a.m., earlier than at most hotels. The location near Mines View Park may explain the higher price, but clearer communication and better room amenities would make a stay more pleasant.

The parking needs some thought if you're driving. The lot is steep and can be slippery in the rain, and a small car with a less powerful engine may struggle. On-site spaces are limited, though street parking is available on weekends. Mines View Park is nearby, with plenty of local street food within easy reach. Breakfast is decent for the budget, simple but filling. It's an affordable base for exploring Baguio if you don't expect luxury.

We paid 19k for two nights, but left after the first day and got no refund. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the room felt like an attic, with very little space, stairs, no air conditioning, poor ventilation, and a window about the size of a microwave. Even though the area is supposed to be cold, the room didn't feel chilly. Too pricey for that kind of stay.

The staff were polite and easy to approach, but parking was limited and the uneven driveway made it difficult to park. This was our second stay, the first was superb back in 2016. This time the room wasn't ready when we arrived exactly at 2 PM, and we waited almost an hour to check in.
