The staff were consistently courteous, attentive, and warm. When I had a small emergency and needed a particular supply, they didn’t have it on hand but went out of their way to buy it outside the hotel. That care really stood out. Hair dryers and laundry bags are available if you ask, which was fine with me. Kudos to the staff. My toddler and I stayed one night in a Premiere Room. It was spacious, as was the bed, giving my son room to run around. I also liked that the floor tiles weren’t slippery, which felt safer for kids. The building is old but clean and well maintained. Breakfast was fair for the price, though there wasn’t much choice in food or drinks and the taste was average. We still had a pleasant stay at The Plaza Lodge.

We stayed two nights in a Deluxe Balcony room during a quick Baguio trip with a friend. The room was spacious, the bedsheets were clean and smelled nice, though the carpet was a bit dusty. The location is far from the center, and not many taxis pass by. Grab can get expensive, so having a car is better. Parking in Baguio can be a headache, but the hotel always had space available, which was a big plus. Camp John Hay and Wright Park were about a five-minute drive away. The receptionist was just okay, not especially warm. Wi-Fi was unreliable and sometimes slow. The fridge had a problem, but the front desk got it fixed within five minutes, which I appreciated. The bathroom was spacious but worn, with some cracked tiles and a bit of mold. The hot water wasn’t hot enough for me.

The hotel’s location works very well for me, with easy access to lots of popular spots and attractions I usually visit. There’s plenty of parking, and the security team was attentive and reassuring. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout, which was a highlight. The property itself needs some visible routine maintenance to restore and maintain its appearance.

We stayed January 13-15, and the hotel was conveniently close to the tourist spots we visited on our day tour. The room was clean and the staff were polite. The only problem was the shower drain tended to clog. Otherwise, we had a comfortable, pleasant stay.

We booked a last-minute overnight stay in a Deluxe Balcony room at The Plaza Lodge Baguio after deciding to continue our trip from Dagupan to Baguio. At this price, our experience felt closer to a two-star stay, maybe lower, than the property’s current three-star rating. There are more affordable hotels in Baguio with cleaner rooms, better-kept facilities, and warmer service. The place has an old-school Baguio lodge feel and some character, so it could be charming if it were maintained well. Instead, the aging interiors and cleanliness issues let it down. On arrival, there was a dusty smell and the carpet looked worn. Some wallpaper in the room was torn, and the bathroom had visible mold and didn’t feel properly cleaned. That made it hard to feel comfortable. For a room called “Deluxe,” it was surprising not to have bathrobes. Breakfast came with the room and was okay, nothing memorable. We arrived around 8:00 PM and asked for a late checkout the next day. They extended it to 12:30 PM, which was fair, but the request was handled awkwardly, as if we were asking too much. The Plaza Lodge has potential, but the price and three-star rating don’t line up until cleanliness, upkeep, and guest handling improve.
