ZEN Rooms Basic Casa Bel Baguio

We spent five pleasant nights at Casa Bel. It's basic accommodation at a reasonable price, with efficient receptionists and a great panorama from our room. They cleaned it when we asked. It's not central, but it's on the main road, so getting into town by bus was easy. There's also a 7-11 conveniently on the ground floor, with coffee, hot snacks, beer, and wine.

We picked this hotel because it's outside the city, about 5-6 km away. Since it was December, traffic into the city was bad if you had a car. We wanted to avoid that stress, so we stayed farther out and commuted into Baguio. Our deluxe corner room was room 226, priced at 2,200.00 for two people, plus 500.00 for each additional person, with or without an extra bed or foam. The rooms are in the basement, and ours was in B4. There's an elevator and ample parking. The room had space for four, and there was a smoking area nearby, which I always look for because my husband smokes. The water pressure was good, the hot and cold shower worked, and the toilet flushed well. The sheets, towels, and other linens smelled freshly washed, and toiletries were provided. There was cable TV, but we couldn't use the Wi-Fi because it was being repaired. The room could use a facelift, since paint was chipping in places. I was especially alarmed to notice cracks in the beams the next day. I hadn't seen them at check-in because we had to leave straight away for town, and we were tired when we got back. The view they mentioned was also blocked or spoiled by two pieces of heavy equipment in the photo. There wasn't a chair in the room, and adding one would be a good idea. It's a decent place if you're on a budget and want somewhere reasonable to stay.

It's spacious and clean, and the staff are approachable. The location is accessible and cab drivers know it, so getting dropped off is easy. The amenities are limited, but for the price it's not bad, and you probably didn't come to Baguio to spend all your time inside anyway.

We stayed one night. The rooms were decent and clean, and the hot shower worked well. It's right along the highway, so the location is good, though a little way from the city itself. Still accessible.
