West 35 Eco Mountain Resort

Early check-in costs 500 PHP per hour 😂. There were barely any other guests, but we kept hearing “wait for a while.” The staff seemed reluctant to serve guests and more interested in chismis. The food gave me stomach issues.

We had a refreshing family break at West 35 Eco Mountain Resort, getting away from the city traffic. The views were stunning, the setting peaceful, and the food was great for the cool mountain atmosphere. There was no internet signal in the area, and the paid Wi-Fi wasn’t working while we were there because maintenance was underway. Hopefully that was just temporary. Even so, it made for a nice digital detox and good family time.

The view is breathtaking, and we enjoyed the food at the restaurant, especially their vinegar. Service was quick, perhaps because we visited on a weekday and were the only customers there at the time. Parking spaces are available.

The setting is undeniably beautiful, with a relaxing quiet atmosphere, lovely flowers, and landscaping. We asked the front desk for accommodation rates, but the staff just handed us a brochure. We didn’t stay because the Standard room was very pricey at 7000 per night for two people. The restaurant staff were okay, though most seemed to be interns or OJTs. The food didn’t feel worth the price. My 400-peso buttered shrimp had only a few shrimp, and the 200-peso chopseuy had just a few “chicken subak” and wasn’t anything special. The watermelon shake cost 180 pesos, had no milk, and wasn’t sweet, so I wouldn’t call it a shake. The food took a long time to arrive, and the drink took even longer. It came when I was almost done eating.
