Pacific Waves Inn Annex

We booked the Annex native room two weeks ahead, but it still wasn't ready when we arrived, even though no guest had stayed there before us. We had to ask for blankets and towels. The internet speed was decent, but the advertised hot and cold shower wasn't working, and ants kept appearing for some reason. There's a huge parking area, the beach is a one-minute walk away, and convention rooms are available.

A minute from the beach, and the room was spotless. The staff were super kind, WiFi connected quickly, and there’s free parking plus a grilling area. Great budget option in Sabang, Baler. 😎✨💖

The room was new and fresh, and for P1500 a night the nipa-style accommodation felt like fair value. The shower heater was a big help in the really cold water, and the bathroom was clean. The AC worked fine, too. Some staff were very friendly, while others were only a little friendly. There’s a new building going up, so it should be nice to stay in one of those rooms once it’s ready. Sabang Beach is at least a block away, so bring what you need for the walk. Dogs wander around freely, including puppies that bark at you. They seemed friendly and head to the beach looking for food, but I couldn’t tell if they’d been vaccinated.

It wasn’t worth the price. Our room was dusty, with little bits of wood falling down that looked like termite droppings, though I’m not sure. The AC was really noisy, there were no toiletries, and my husband spotted a cockroach in the room.
