Bantayan Island Nature Park and Resort

The toilet smelled bad and there was no toilet paper. The pool had debris in it, and the steps down to the cave pool smelled like someone had peed there. That cave pool looked pretty dodgy to me. The place also seemed old and poorly maintained, with ordinary looking plants and trees. You have to pay 250 pesos per person to use the facilities. There’s a small restaurant where you can buy food, though we didn’t eat there. The nearby beach had plenty of rubbish too. Even though 250 pesos isn’t a lot, I came away feeling it was a waste of money to visit.

Our booking included one free drop off and pick up, which came in handy while we explored bantayan. The beach view was great, though there was no sun set. There were lots of fun activities around, and being able to order food for a set time was nice.

The pool was deep and enjoyable, but the area felt unsettling after dark. I’d visit for a swim, though I wouldn’t stay overnight. The premium room was in rough shape. The shower was broken, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and the sink was dirty. There was dust on the large, clearly aged bed and on the table, the towels were stained, and the floor was dirty. The metal slat chairs had no cushions and weren’t comfortable. Flies were everywhere, and staff seemed inattentive. They advertise a mini zoo, but even if it’s closed when you arrive, there’s a mini zoo in your room: ants, spiders, flies, and other insects I couldn’t identify. Avoid this place if cleanliness matters to you.

The cliff jump was awesome, with all these colorful little fish waiting around when you hit the water 😅. It scared the bejeezus out of my daughter, but I thought the fish were amazing. We had such a great time here, and the beach was clean with cool, clear water.
