The staff were pretty good, 8/10. The bed was clean, though the small pillows were uncomfortable, 7/10. The aircon worked well but was loud, also 7/10, and the TV got 6/10 because the channels were unfamiliar. Bathroom: 2/10, with a cockroach and a broken shower. I also had a creepy encounter. Wouldn’t recommend.

At checkout they charged us for a stained towel, which didn’t seem fair to me. The blankets were stained too, though we hadn’t minded; we asked for fresh ones on our second day. During our three-night stay in the family room at D Mariners Hotel, we also never got the TV remote we requested. The internet was slow, so we had to use the living room when we needed a reliable connection. The room had its own issues: stained bed cover, a strong cockroach smell in the bathroom, and I killed a cockroach I found inside. Cracked tiles near the toilet worried me, especially with elderly family members traveling with me. There was nowhere to hang clothes. With all of that, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

Getting around was easy: the place is near stores, restaurants, and LPU, and a motor cab ride to the school took under 10 minutes. Taking a motor cab was more convenient than driving since parking was a hassle. The location worked really well for the reason we were there, my partner’s graduation. We stayed for a week. The room was okay, though it could be better, and the staff were very helpful. It was our first time in Batangas, coming from Visayas and Mindanao, and we found the people there very nice and friendly.

The staff were helpful, but the front desk receptionist should be more accommodating instead of trying to charge guests for every reasonable request. Breakfast came with no food choices or serving-time options, and they didn’t consider allergies or guests who were sleeping in. When we asked to change a plate of food, they wanted an extra fee. Our room at D'Mariners Batangas was just okay. The pillows were very thin, and they wanted to charge us for an extra one. The bathroom door was broken and the towel bars were rusty. The service felt poor because of all the extra charges.

My daughter stayed at D Mariners because it was closer to BATMC while she was undergoing CT and RT. She passed away yesterday. Thank you for accommodating us, we’re very grateful. Now my daughter is free to fly, with no more pain. 😢😢😢😢
