Alona Hidden Dream Resort

The staff were kind and helpful, but the room, especially the bathroom, really needs work. There was barely any pressure from the sink, toilet, or shower. The owner should put some money into it.

Alona Beach has plenty of good places to eat and drink, but our stay at Alona Hidden Dream Resort was a letdown. The room smelled bad when we arrived, the shower water stopped completely, and nobody had warned us. The bathroom drain also didn’t work right, and the room divider was just thin plywood. When we tried to explain the problems, the staff didn’t help and came across as unprofessional. They kept talking to one another in their native language while we were speaking, which felt dismissive and disrespectful. We also asked to weigh our luggage and were told there was no scale, even though we’d seen another guest using one. I can’t recommend the resort after this. There are better options around Alona Beach with more reliable amenities and friendlier service.

The location is great, and the rooms are clean. The towels and linens are good quality, and the basic amenities are useful, though I wish they had duvets. Water pressure can be an issue. There didn’t seem to be cleaners available when we wanted someone to tidy up during our multiple-night stay. Noise can also carry in some areas, especially when other guests aren’t asked to keep it down while people are sleeping.

Checking out took ages because they claimed we’d been given three towels, when we’d only received one. They also charged us 500 for a tiny stain on the bed. Some staff need to learn proper manners and provide better service.
