Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel

I lost a ring during my bachelorette weekend, my fault for being too drunk, and assumed it was gone for good. Then Yna from the hotel contacted me to say they’d found it. Joven and El, the housekeepers, were honest enough to make sure it was returned, and bellman Marco took the initiative to send it to me via LBC. That kind of honesty means a lot to me and is rare these days. The staff were so accommodating with cocktails, dinner preparations, transportation, and, most importantly, our safety. Two Seasons Bayside Coron exceeded my expectations, and I’m truly grateful.

The electricity went out five times in two days, though each outage was brief. Also, there’s no beach here, it’s a BAYSIDE view resort. The town isn’t far, but negotiate with tricycle drivers because they charge foreigners high prices. One ride started at 800 and I paid 500 pesos. The customer service was amazing, and the restaurant food was some of the best I’ve had in the Philippines. Ken, our waiter, was amazing too. Happy hour runs from 4-7pm with buy-one-get-one drinks, and they’re strong.

We stayed for two nights before setting off on our Palawan island-hopping trip. The hotel is a bit small and about 15 minutes from the town center, and it’s on the pricey side. Still, the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. The Baya Lounge/Restaurant was excellent, and the servers were very accommodating. It’s a very nice place to stay.

The buffet breakfast had lots of tasty options, and the restaurant was great for dinner too. Staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and efficient, and spoke very good English. The gym is small but has a magnificent view. The waterfront location is beautiful, though the standard street-side rooms can be noisy. We upgraded to a Bayview room because of that. The rooms could use some updating, and they felt a little disappointing for the price. It’s busy and noisy so close to the main road. If you can afford it, stay on an island, but this is a very good mainland option.
