Villa Soledad Beach Resort

It’s set midway between Bolinao and the southern attractions like Enchanted Caves. I didn’t swim at the beach, but at low tide I walked out to the nearby rock, which was interesting on its own. The chapel on site was a lovely bonus, and I prayed and studied my Bible there several times. I slept really well because the area was quiet at night. The staff were excellent, polite, and very helpful. I’d highly recommend staying at VSBR.

The staff are kind and accommodating, and both the food and the place were great. It seems well suited to families or team building, with a kids’ playground, basketball and volleyball courts, table tennis, pool/billiards, three swimming pools, and the beach. The water stays clean and only comes up to about knee height even farther out. Some people might not like the room setup, especially the beds, and the water in the cr is salty.

The swimming water is some distance from shore, and getting there means walking over coral rather than sand. The beach seems better for snorkeling. For a private retreat, marriage encounter, or family holiday, this is a good option if you want to get away while keeping your privacy. You can cook there, since they provide a stove and cooking gas, kitchen and dining utensils, and a clean, working refrigerator.

The beach and pool were beautiful, but make sure you do the room check with them when checking out. They billed us $25 for two used towels that we definitely left in our room. Charging us for towels we hadn’t lost is ridiculous.
