AJ Travellers Inn

We paid only 2k for a room for four people for one night, which made it a great deal for backpackers. The inn is within walking distance of the beach and budget-friendly places to eat. The staff were polite too.

The room had plenty of mosquitoes, and the CR wasn’t clean. Some faucets were broken or didn’t work. We weren’t given toiletries or water unless we asked, and the bedding and towels seemed to have been reused. Staff weren’t very friendly or accommodating. This was the worst place I’ve stayed in Boracay!

I can’t recommend Aj Travellers Inn to other travelers. The room felt old and poorly maintained, and the comfort room wasn’t very clean. No toiletries were provided at check-in, and we weren’t confident the bed was clean. After coming back from the beach, there was no water when we needed a shower, which was really inconvenient. The stay fell short of what I expected from the Agoda reviews. If your budget allows, I’d look at other hotels or Airbnbs in the area.

The restaurant downstairs served poor-quality food. The lumpia was so tough the dog had trouble chewing it. The power went out across Boracay at 8:44pm on May 4 and didn’t come back until morning. The emergency light lasted only about an hour, then died. There was no generator or other emergency power source, and staff gave us no update or help and never checked on us. We slept terribly, and it got even hotter in the morning. We also found the shower drain clogged easily, the mini fridge wasn’t working or even switched on, and the Wi-Fi was so bad we couldn’t connect. The shower heater didn’t work at first because it hadn’t been turned on. We had to ask the caretaker downstairs, which made it feel like they hadn’t prepared for guests. Basic toiletries weren’t there when we arrived, and we had to ask before they were provided. Worst inn ever. You’ve been warned.
