Bambooze Hauz

I booked three nights after the photos of Bambooze Hauz on the internet and booking sites impressed me, but the room we got looked more like a hospital room. The bathroom was so cramped it was hard to stand, the shower was broken, the TV didn’t work, there were no blankets, and the bed sheets were dirty. There was no front desk or reception where we could raise these problems. The guest house is well inside a village, and the path to it was muddy. I don’t recommend it. Take the comments seriously.

I stayed with a friend from Feb 18 - 21, 2017 in a Budget room. It was okay, with enough space and a soft bed. The bathroom was a little small, but manageable. They provided basic toiletries and a towel, though don’t expect much. The staff were friendly and approachable. This is a budget-friendly hotel, not one of the usual sosyal places. It could suit you if you’re not too picky and don’t mind walking or taking a tricycle to the beach entrance, or going through the residential area where the place is located. It really wasn’t that bad.

The owners were accommodating and lent us cooking items and utensils so we could make our own food. The place is simple but comfortable, fully air-conditioned, and has its own sink and restroom. There are plenty of cabinets for keeping your things secure, and the fridge is a good size for storing some food. You can really feel the nature around the common area. It’s close to the shore, and the neighboring residents are friendly too.

The room wasn’t too bad, and the price was cheap, but the location is far from everything in the middle of a village. We had no water on our last night. It took hours for them to do anything, and in the end we had to shower in another room. Next time I’d rather spend more to stay closer to everything.
