Kingston Lodge

Back again after a while. Still friendly and clean, though it was a quiet night. The flags have disappeared from the ceiling.

Danny is a wonderful host, and his staff are just as impressive. There are hotel rooms and apartments here as well. I've visited a few times, usually for the specials on the first and third Saturdays each month. The food is excellent, and the service is attentive with a Western feel. The menu covers all-day breakfast, Western dishes, Filipino favorites, and even a good pizza.

It's a small, no-fuss hotel with good food at affordable prices, and the portions are American-sized. The bar is great, with a good booze selection, and there's acoustic live music on weekends. Families and solo travelers both seem well suited here. Wi-Fi is strong around the lounge and pool. The rooms are simple, but the service staff are awesome and the pool is kid friendly. The staff are pleasant too. I'd definitely check in here again.

Danny and the staff make you feel welcome, like a friend. The rooms and both pools were clean, and the food was awesome. They have the coldest beer in town, too. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, and I'm looking forward to coming back soon.
