Summer Palace Hotspring Resort

There’s plenty for adults and kids to do, and the attendants gave great service. The pool is just the right temperature, making this a nice spot for a family outing. The only drawback is the stairs, since the rooms are on the third floor and seniors may find the climb difficult. Otherwise, everything was great.

The caretakers are kind, and there’s even a sari sari store open until 2am. It’s a spacious place for family reunions, with spring-hot water, billiards, table tennis and a full-size basketball court.

We had a good time over our two nights here, and the mix of activities was the best part. It works well for a private outing and can fit 25 to 30 people, though our group was just 14, so there was lots of room. There are shops nearby for food and supplies. The pool is warm, clean and large enough to swim around in, with a hoop nearby. The ground floor has the pool and dining area, the second floor has billiards and table tennis, and the roof deck is the basketball court. There are four rooms on the third floor, with okay beds. Bring your own blanket and toiletries. The air conditioning is cold but dated. Parking fits two cars; others have to park on the street. The road to the resort isn’t great and looked sketchy at night, though the resort itself is quite good. It looks awesome in photos, but could use some care to bring back its old glory. Overall, a good trip, though the place could use a makeover.

The rooms have plenty of space for a group, and the facilities were clean and superb. The videoke was a nice touch. Staff were very, very friendly, and we could borrow things like a pitcher and knives. There’s also a store next door selling liquor, snacks, drinking water and ice.
