Rene's Diverslounge Resort

I couldn't have picked a better place to recover after ear trouble from earlier dives in Siquijor limited me to one day of diving. I booked here because it cost far less than Cabilao while offering the same diving access. The owners gave me medicine and even took me to a doctor in Calape for a checkup. The quiet and solitude were a real highlight. It's only an hour from Panglao, yet feels like another world. The owners are down to earth, and the rooms are excellent. Mine was well kept, with a very clean bathroom, hot water, and strong AC. Outside, the patio and dining room/bar have beautiful sunset views. The food was delicious, especially the pizzas, which are a must. I often had off-menu lunches and dinners with the owners' family, then we'd chat over beer. Add the cliffside sea views and a great place to stay, and it's hard to ask for more if you're after diving, home-style food, quiet nights, and good company.

Renes place had such a family feel, like visiting a beloved auntie during summer break. We loved the food, the clean rooms, and the comfy beds and pillows. The custom service was so nice and helpful, and snorkeling was nice too. We were sad to leave. Thanks so much for the hospitality, we hope to come back! ❤️

It's a laid-back resort away from the crowds, with untouched, undiscovered reefs. The dive boat comes right up to the resort, and I managed 3-4 dives a day. There were no other boats or divers around, just us. The dive master is a pro, the hosts are excellent, and my clean room had AC and fast WiFi. A blissful time seeing places the resorts near the airport will never take you.

The food was tasty, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and everyone around us was super nice and helpful. It's a small family-atmosphere place with a dive resort. Diving was great, and the divemaster made us feel well cared for. We had each dive spot to ourselves, and the people there truly made our stay magical.
