Zerenity Hotel & Suites

The rooms are small and have just the basics, so they worked for our short stay but would be tight with large suitcases. The staff were especially friendly and helpful, including Joshua and Linda at breakfast. The buffet was about what you'd expect for the price, with a limited selection but most of it cooked well. We picked Zerenity because it was near Ayala Mall and our friends at Waterfront Cebu Hotel. We were arriving late and needed an affordable stop before moving to our vacation hotel for a beach wedding at Shangri-La Mactan that weekend. Ayala Central Bloc Mall and Sugbo Mercado are only two blocks away. The shower pressure was good, though the water was only lukewarm. The TV only had cable, with no internet access for Netflix or YouTube.

I stayed four nights and had a good experience. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable, and the wardrobe was spacious, with around eight hangers and a small safe. The wall AC was a bit noisy but had several temperature settings. Water pressure and fairly hot water were fine, the elevator wasn't stuffy, and the WiFi worked well for basic browsing. The staff were welcoming at check-in and explained things clearly. They were also quick to help with requests, like taking away delivery trash late at night, bringing another toilet roll, or getting extra towels. There's a 1,000 PHP cash deposit; they give you a receipt and return it at checkout. There are plenty of food choices nearby, from budget carinderias to a 24-hour MC Donald's about an 80-meter walk away. A small 7 Eleven is right by the hotel, and there are also laundry services, a money changer, and Ayala mall for shopping. The street is busy with people and vehicles. Be careful walking there, especially during the nighttime rush, when cars and motorbikes can pass very close. Traffic and some honking were audible until around midnight, so if noise bothers you or you often take business calls, you could ask for a higher floor on the quieter side. That's something to consider, though the hotel can't control the street noise. There wasn't any hand soap in the bathroom, liquid or bar. At check-in there were two toothbrush kits and a tube of body/hand lotion, while shampoo and body gel were provided in the shower. I used my own hand sanitizer. Even with those minor inconveniences, I'd stay again in Cebu. The place was clean, service was great, and the location was hard to beat.

The location worked really well. The night market is just down the street, the mall is two blocks away, and restaurants and bars are three blocks from the hotel. Everything's within walking distance, and the rooms and service were great.

The breakfast buffet here is better than what I've had at many other hotels, and the rooms are clean. It's also budget-friendly, with kind, courteous staff. Mark (security), Carl (Front Desk), Joshua (Zen Cafe), Eboy (housekeeping), and the rest of the team were so kind throughout our stay. Thanks to all of them. Whenever I visit Cebu, I stay here and would keep coming back. It's in IT Park, close to Ayala Central Bloc, convenience stores, restaurants, and fast food. The area is busy, but still feels safe to walk around at night.
