Room B was clean and roomy, with comfortable beds, good ventilation, enough light and a good WiFi connection. There’s no hot water, but after a hot day outdoors a cold shower feels good. Breakfast isn’t served, though there’s a nice little restaurant next door. It’s a good place to stay in Carles if you’re planning to take the Isla Gigantes Tour. The location is just off the main road.

Room B had lots of space for four people, though it would be a snug fit. We booked three nights, and it’s only a 3-5 minute walk to Bancal Port. The area felt safe, with plenty of CCTV outside the gate and a large parking area.

The hosts are really helpful whenever you need something or want information. The room is simple and basic but large and almost like new. It has very good AC, a comfortable bed, a kettle, glasses, two 0.5L bottles, and a back room with a big laundry hanger. The bathroom has a shower, but no hot water. There aren’t many other amenities.

The family were exceptionally hospitable. They helped arrange our tours and even drove us to the bus to Iloilo. We also ate at their restaurant next door every day because the food was so delicious. The beach is on the other side of the peninsula, but it’s just a quick five-minute tricycle ride away. We stayed at Casa Juana for three nights, and it exceeded our expectations. It had only opened a month earlier, which explains the few reviews, but it was spotless and the service was outstanding. The one small downside was the lack of internet. Connectivity is limited throughout the area, so it didn’t make much difference. If you need to work remotely, take a few days off and enjoy your stay instead.
