Dianao Beach Club and Resort

Dinner was a real highlight. We booked the 4-course meal, and Chef Rad’s cooking felt thoughtful, creative, and full of story. You could tell how much care went into each dish. We wished we had more time there after that meal. We came to Dianao Beach Resort on January 24 for my birthday, hoping for a quiet break surrounded by nature, and that’s what we got. The waves were calming to listen to, though the beach itself has the strong surf Aurora is known for. It’s not really suited to swimming, but it has a beautiful, rugged coastal feel and seems great for surfers. A couple of things could be better: the massage ended about 30 minutes or more earlier than expected, so we didn’t get the full 3 hours we booked, 1.5 hours each. An on-site massage area would also help couples avoid taking turns and waiting. There’s a pool if you’d rather stay out of the waves, and calmer swimming beaches, Casapsapan Beach and Canawer Beach, are only a few minutes away. We’d recommend Dianao Beach Resort and would love to return. It was a peaceful birthday stay, made especially memorable by Chef Rad’s dinner.

The little hassles didn’t spoil our anniversary at Dianao Beach Club & Resort. We spent 3 days and 2 nights there, and despite the higher rates, felt it was worth every peso. It was quiet during our visit, with the beachfront and gentle waves making the place feel wonderfully peaceful. Everything looked clean and well kept, and we had plenty of room to unwind. Our Beachfront Casita was comfortable and very clean. It had air-conditioning, a smart TV, lots of drawer space, a safe, and a nice bathroom with hot and cold water and a bidet. The staff were attentive and welcoming, including a refreshing drink on arrival. They also arranged an early breakfast for our early checkout, which we appreciated. Breakfast was included as a tasty buffet. We didn’t try Mihasa Restaurant because dishes were around ₱400+ and up, though maybe we will next time. A few things were bumpy. There was no water at check-in, and nobody told us until we asked. We heard the supply was still being filled; it took a couple of hours to return, then the pressure and quality were perfect. On the second day, the air conditioner leaked. Maintenance said it might be a unit fault or because we’d set it to 16°C. We raised it to 22°C, but it still leaked a bit. We didn’t report it again because we wanted to rest before leaving early. The Wi-Fi voucher confused us since neither network actually needed a password. The connection kept dropping, and mobile signal was low to none, so mobile data wasn’t an option either. It didn’t bother us much while enjoying the place, but it’s worth knowing if you need Wi-Fi for work or streaming. Management could improve it. We’d happily come back. The lovely casita, friendly team, and tranquil beachfront made our anniversary feel special, and we’d recommend it for a quiet, relaxing escape.

Fresh fish made dinner especially good. The chef cooked the fish we chose just the way we wanted, and even our picky eater found food they liked at the restaurant. My best friend had recommended Dianao Beach Club as beautiful and relaxing, and she was right. The kids had fun in the pool with its great beach view, and the shore was clean and free of stones. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and our villa was comfortable. Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room, but we mostly hung out at the pool and beach anyway. We had a lovely one-night stay and hope to visit again soon.

I really like this resort and its natural setting, but at this price I expected more attention to the rooms. There was a cockroach in the toilet, and the toiletries came without a toothbrush or toothpaste. The soap was tiny too. Food was very expensive, the menu was limited with many items unavailable, and outside food wasn’t allowed. Filipinos love to eat, and the portions here were too small. The prices might be easier to forgive if the servings were enough. Still, if you love nature, this is the place for you.
