Irish was a great resource while we were there, and the staff were thoughtful and very friendly. We loved the comfortable, roomy bed in our bright first-floor room (second floor for Americans), with views over the garden and sea. Starlink worked well throughout the resort, and the locked gate at night made the place feel safe. We spent three nights at Amila in November 2025 and got a good rainy-season deal that included a tasty breakfast each morning. It’s a small resort, but everything felt carefully designed, clean, and made with quality materials. We paid for two nights in advance through Wise and added a third night by credit card on site. A la carte orders could take a while, so the culinary team may need a boost ahead of high season. About those one-star reviews from around 2023, I assume those reviewers hadn’t actually stayed there, and that the feedback could be considered cyber bullying.

I went in December 2025, and it was really quiet. The diving was enjoyable, even with all the storms, and trips leave from the beach out front. Breakfast is included, which is handy. It’s a lovely hotel that feels premium without costing too much. The owner is doing his job fine. God bless.

Dining by the water at sunset was a highlight, and the meals were delicious, from fresh seafood to local dishes. There was a good range to choose from, and everything was flavorful and nicely presented. The beach was gorgeous, with clear water, soft white sand, and a calm feel that made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature. The resort was clean and well kept, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. It exceeded my expectations. I’d happily come back for another relaxing beach break.

The owner is very welcoming, and the small resort has a laid-back feel. A nice place for a relaxing stay in this part of the Philippines.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and both times we had a great experience. Amila is a quiet spot for a relaxed vacation, and Tobias is really friendly and accommodating. The room was good, as were the bed and air conditioning. It’s a handy place to stay when you’re heading to Danjugan Island to explore and dive at a certain dive site. The service was good too. I’d recommend it for a relaxing holiday.
