Mango Suites Cauayan

The beds were comfortable, and although our rooms faced the road, they were reasonably well soundproofed. Breakfast the next morning cost 290 pesos and was decent, with a fair selection served fairly hot. We also found a few places to eat within a five-minute walk, thanks to Google, though there isn't much right around the hotel. Getting there was a relief after six hours riding in the rain: we could ride around the back and park under cover. Check-in went smoothly. A few people in our group changed to larger rooms because the ones they'd booked were very small. Mine was fine, but the word “suite” seems to mean something much smaller here than I expected. The shower was tiny too, though the hot water was plentiful. It's a clean, modern, practical hotel at a reasonable price. Just expect a very small room if you choose the cheapest option.

The room felt roomy, with a big bathroom, and it was a good deal near SM city. It had a cozy feel, a balcony, a TV, and a hot and cold shower. They supplied one bottle of water and toiletries. The linens were great, the blanket was thick, and the aircon got nice and cold. I wish they used refillable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom to cut down on single-use plastic.

This is a no-frills place, so bring your own toiletries and bathroom slippers. The towels looked a little worn and dingy. I brought a hand towel to use on my face, and would suggest doing the same.

The Standard Room was good value for one night. I do wish it came with a table and chair, and an electric kettle for making coffee. I arrived from Manila on a Sunday in August 2025 and had expected the airport shuttle mentioned on the website during my reservation. There was a misunderstanding, but the Front Office manager on duty quickly arranged a taxi to pick me up at Cauayan City Airport. I appreciated how well they handled the problem.
