The staff were great, responsive, and courteous, which was a real plus. There’s a cafe on the 3rd floor with great coffee and good food. This is a decent hotel in the heart of the city, and the prices are relatively cheap for the location. Rooms are old, though. The TV in mine didn’t work, the bathroom was quite old, and the hot shower was only warm. I didn’t see slippers in the room, but I’m not sure whether they’ll provide them if you ask. There’s basement parking, though I can’t say how safe it is. The hotel is along colon street, across 138 mall, with Watsons on the lower ground. As far as I can remember, it’s one of the oldest hotels in cebu, and you can feel the age of the place. Manage your expectations if you’re looking for a high-end experience.

You can walk to just about anything you need in this area. It’s the old business district of Colon, and the hotel and nearby buildings have seen better days. CBH still has that 70s,80s hotel vibe, with function rooms for events and group activities. It still seems to draw customers, maybe because the rates are budget-friendly and affordable.

We stayed for a week for training and a party. The rooms aren’t modern, but they were clean. It’s an old building and hotel, though the service gave us a great experience. The location is very good and the food is great. Staff greeted customers whenever they saw them and responded to requests right away.

The basic facilities badly need refurbishment, and the cleaning and pest control need a major overhaul. We found lots of small roaches, even in the bed and especially in the toilet and shower room. The staff were courteous, but the elevator call buttons on the 2nd and 3rd floors didn’t work, so we had to use the stairs.
