Castle Peak Hotel

The bathroom in Room 804 was the one issue for me. Water leaked onto the floor, and the shower temperature couldn’t be adjusted, so it stayed quite warm. I hope they fix the leak and maybe add a detachable shower head. Beyond that, I’d happily stay at Castle Peak again when I’m back in Cebu. The location made getting around easy. Cross the street and take the Carbon jeep for Puso Village, Carbon Market, Magellan’s Cross, and other key spots. Corner Bakery and Brixe Bistro are walkable, while Shaburi is a short walk or quick ride away. After a long travel day, being allowed to check in two hours early was a big help. Reception was warm, organized, and efficient. My deluxe room was just the right size, with a comfortable bed and fresh smelling pillows, comforter, and sheets. I liked the window view of greenery and night lights. Housekeeping cleaned daily and replenished the water, coffee, toiletries, and tissue. A hair dryer was provided too. There’s only one elevator, but it was quick and easy to use. Breakfast was filling, the coffee was strong, and the restaurant staff were attentive.

My cousin and I enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and good for the price, and the attentive staff gave us everything we requested. It’s in a handy location, within walking distance of Landers, Ayala, and IT Park, with easy transportation nearby.

The location puts you right in the middle of the main business hubs, and the service is great. The shower needs an upgrade, since the “hot” water is barely warm, and the AC needs cleaning. An interior room may have a fake window frame attached to the wall. The elevator buttons need fixing too.

The rooms were tiny and disgusting, and the building looked run-down and crumbling. My elderly stepmother became violently ill with severe gastroenteritis after eating at the filthy, unhygienic restaurant. Management refused to help, blamed her age, and suggested we were hiding something, even though we had medical bills, receipts, and photos showing how serious her condition was. We were left with huge medical expenses that we believe were caused by the unsafe food. This felt like reckless disregard for guests’ health, not just poor service. Unsafe food, filth, terrible rooms, and terrible service. Avoid this hotel.
