Cuarto Hotel

We stayed one night before taking the ferry from Pier 1 to Bohol. The hotel has great service and staff, and it made us feel like we were at a 5 Star Hotel. The rooms are a little small but very clean, and breakfast was good. The street is kind of noisy. All in all, a really good hotel.

Breakfast was good, with plenty to choose from, including eggs cooked four ways, breads, coffee, tsokolate, juices, cereals, meats, and a salad station. The amenities were thoughtfully provided and replenished each day. The cafe was clean and the food delicious, though a bit pricey. The location is convenient and the staff friendly. Very good overall, and I’ll definitely return.

Everything was handled professionally and felt well organized. The place was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were genuinely friendly. I’d happily come back.

After the management replied, they said they were reviewing the policy, which I appreciate. Still, lots of people avoid public phones for hygiene reasons, and we don't even use the room landline when staying at hotels. We’d rather speak to reception in person or call on our own mobile. That policy was the reason I left and found a nearby hotel. At night, a prospective guest can't speak to the front desk directly: the guard won't let them enter and tells them to use his landline to call reception. If security is the concern, the guard could do a pat-down, then allow the guest inside to ask questions and pay for a room.
