Holiday Inn Cebu City

The restaurant and breakfast buffet were the standout for us. We've tried buffets around the world and at similar hotels in Cebu and the Philippines, and this was probably the best. The flavors felt more like an upscale restaurant than the usually bland hotel breakfast, with plenty of choices for different food preferences. The restaurant staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. You can order refreshments easily by the rooftop pool, right beside the restaurant. There are big towels, loungers, and shaded tables around the beautiful almost-infinity pool. Our standard room was small but clean and comfortable, as you'd expect from Holiday Inn. We were in a safe, somewhat upscale and fairly quiet central area of Cebu, and didn't hear road noise from the room. The airport drive took about 30 minutes in traffic, possibly 20 without it. There's parking on the 2nd floor for drivers.

We tried the merienda buffet at Holiday Inn Cebu City and found it well worth it ❤️ The spread had Filipino favorites like binignit, dinuguan, palabok, lugaw, shanghai, fried chicken, empanadas, and maja blanca, with pizza and sliders too if you want something more filling. It was a cozy, relaxing place to catch up with friends, get some work done, or take a slow afternoon with unlimited coffee and iced tea. It wasn't overly crowded, and the staff were warm, attentive, and accommodating. For the price, the food, atmosphere, and service made it feel sulit. A nice merienda spot in Cebu City.

I stayed about 5 nights and really enjoyed it. The restaurant had good food with lots of options, and the waitresses were professional and kind. On the 16th floor, housekeeping were friendly and hardworking, leaving my room spotless each time they cleaned it. Check-in was easy, and the front desk team were welcoming and professional. I'd recommend the hotel to my family and would most likely stay again if I return to Cebu.

I liked the location during my week here. Malls and markets were a short cab ride away, and there was a 7 11 within a short walk. Just know that this store only takes cash, though many shops in the malls accept credit cards. The hotel was clean and modern, with good security, excellent staff, a clean lobby, and several elevators that were always working and prompt. My room was quiet most of the time, though other guests could be noisy sometimes, and I heard some hallway noise too. That wasn't the hotel's fault. The room had good air conditioning but no heat, a useful small fridge, a safe, and a TV. A locked door led to the next room, but it stayed locked for safety. The bathroom had clean towels, and housekeeping readily replaced supplies like body wash when needed. My minor complaint was the shower curtain separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom, which meant the floor got wet. There was a good, inexpensive morning buffet and a restaurant on site serving alcohol. Room service was also available throughout the day for a fee. The pool was a good size, with lounge chairs nearby, and there was a well-maintained fitness center with treadmills and free weights. I'm glad I stayed and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good hotel in Cebu City.
