OYO 672 Capitol Tourist Inn (Vaccinated Staff)

The staff were amazing, and I love Filipinos for their great attitude when serving people. There are beds and it costs $13 a night, which is why I'm giving it two stars. The other three are missing because the place, especially outside, wasn't clean. A few dollars more gets you somewhere with more amenities. They should raise the price by 20%, fix the tile floors, and update the rooms.

The room was dirty, with cobwebs on the ceiling and confetti still hanging above, clearly missed during cleaning. The bed was so itchy we couldn't sleep. I don't know if there was a bug or something else, but there was also a cockroach running around. The TV didn't work and the bathroom sink was broken. They don't provide free towels or toiletries, and there's no free Wi-Fi. We were fooled by the website photos. Capitol Tourist Inn Cebu City was very disappointing, with a dirty, old-looking building and entrance. The worst hotel ever, in my experience. Don't come here, you're wasting your money. There was barely any working light in the toilet, since only that light worked. The bedside and mirror lamps were missing bulbs, and the floor tiles were cracked. The door latch opened by itself, and karaoke singers nearby were unbearably loud. The staff wore masks, but some had them down on their chins. The room didn't look like the misleading photo, and they don't issue receipts. For safety and peace of mind, book somewhere else.

The toilet was clean, but its shower and sink faucet didn't work. The sheets looked white, but were dirty; when I lifted the pillow, I found a small dead cockroach underneath. The pillow smelled bad too. There were no basic toiletries, including a towel or soap, and the sliding door had no lock. The TV wouldn't turn on.
