Red Planet Cebu

Red Planet works well for an overnight or two-night stop. Rooms are small but comfortable, with a large bathroom and shower, and the water pressure is great. The location is a winner, literally a minute from Ayala Mall. There's a convenience store just to the left as you leave, and about 50m away on that side is a very good laundry that washes, irons, and folds clothes for a fair price. Staff are excellent and helpful, and the security staff are wonderful, super-helpful people. There are some practical gaps: despite the booking information, there's no refrigerator or kettle in the room. There are no coat hangers or anywhere to hang clothes, and there wasn't enough space to open my suitcase except on the bed. Traffic noise carries through the night, with nonstop car and bike horns at rush hour. I do recommend it for a short transient stay. For longer stays at a cheaper price with home comforts, I'd choose an Airbnb, since many are within a five-minute walk of Ayala.

It's right in front of Ayala malls, in a central spot with everything nearby. Rooms and bathroom were clean, and the hot water was nice. The rooms are a bit small, but that worked for us since this was just a sleep-and-go hotel. There's a water refill station in the main lobby.

The location is easy for getting to malls, food, and spas, and Starbucks is nearby too! Rooms were clean, and the staff were accommodating. I especially appreciated the security guards, who were friendly and quick to help. They don't have mugs, a kettle, or a refrigerator like other Red Planet properties, and I hope they upgrade soon.

Food options are plentiful within walking distance, there's a 24-hour 711 connected to the hotel, and Ayala Center Mall is right there. The street-side rooms are so noisy from traffic that sleeping is impossible. Staff were helpful and friendly.
