I’m moving out after a year, and the rent is too expensive. It’s 8.5k a month, and electricity comes to about 1.7 times what VECO charges. The air conditioner isn’t an inverter model, so if you sleep with it on for 8-10 hours a night for 31 days, expect around 5k in aircon electricity alone. I tested that without charging my phone. There are some useful nearby places: San CarloS is close, in front of gate 3, and there are plenty of good laundry places, a convenience store, and mildsons nearby. But there isn’t anywhere decent and healthy to eat. The place is full of rats, and it’s a mess. They won’t fix room problems without payment. If there’s no water or electricity, they won’t compensate you either. They don’t offer receipts, so keep your own transaction records. The landlady handles everything and seems very shady. You never get to contact the actual owner. Moving out takes ages, and they almost couldn’t return the advance downpayment. They’d ask other tenants for money to pay people who were leaving. I’ve been in the tenants’ GC and saw that only PARENTS are properly entertained. If you’re seriously thinking of moving in, remember you have the right to compensation, return of money, and room repairs.
