The port is close by, which is handy, but I wouldn't stay here even for one night unless I absolutely had to. There are lots of other places around the port, or you can stay a bit farther out and take a taxi. Ten minutes' walk from the port isn't worth it. Our room smelled of cleaning chemicals, and staff said they'd fumigated it. When I asked at reception to switch rooms, they were accommodating. The AC in the first alternative was so loud that sleeping would've been impossible. The second room seemed okay until a cockroach crawled along the wall. When I pointed it out, staff laughed. We went back to our original room, where another cockroach came out of the gap around the bathroom light switch. The bathroom door didn't close either, which didn't give us much confidence. From what we could tell, the whole hotel had cockroaches. They seemed to fumigate room by room, but that wasn't going to solve it. The rooms were dirty and dated, and badly needed updating. The beds were hard, the mattress felt about 40 years old and was crusty, and the pillow was basically a rock.
