We stopped at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino for two nights on our road trip around Cebu. Parking was convenient, and getting to the main roads was easy. The location also put restaurants, malls, and nightlife within easy reach. The lobby felt grand and welcoming, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout. Our room was spacious, clean, and well kept, with comfortable beds that helped us recover after long drives. Breakfast had a good range of choices, especially the local Filipino dishes. The pool and gym were nice to have after busy days out. I also had a calming aromatherapy massage at the spa. The therapists were professional, and the soothing setting made it a lovely way to unwind after traveling. The Wi-Fi was decent, though it could be faster at peak times. Some parts of the hotel felt dated, but we still had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back to Cebu.

Breakfast and dinner buffets had plenty of options, including American, Mexican, Indian, and local food. The hotel itself had a warm, relaxing feel. Its location made it easy to get around Cebu City, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and happy to help, making us feel welcome from check-in to checkout. Highly recommended!

Service was excellent, and the location in IT Park was convenient. It’s about a 10-minute walk to lots of food places, ATMs, and other things. The hotel is very dated, though. It was built in 1998, and I don’t think it’s been refurbished since. The rooms feel tired and the bathrooms are very small. The casino was in terrible condition. I’d estimate 15 to 20% of the machines weren’t working, and many seemed to need only a paper refill. I don’t understand why they aren’t repaired, since broken machines can’t generate income. Baccarat was the popular table game, and there was one craps table that opened for only a few hours each night. The large poker room seemed busy fairly often, though I didn’t play. I enjoyed the experience overall, but the breakfast buffet was very average, and, like at many buffets, the food generally wasn’t hot.

The location is very central, the food was good, and the hotel may have some of Cebu’s best restaurants. Service was excellent, the staff were well trained, and room service was top tier. The gym was good too. My bed was comfortable in the deluxe room, the only one available during Sinulog week, but the rooms badly need updating. The shower and bathroom need renovation, and Wi-Fi was basically unavailable, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you need to work. The interior has a nostalgic early-2000s feel.

The air conditioning in my room and in the lobby lounge was my only minor concern. Otherwise, my stay was perfect and excellent, and the staff made it comfortable and memorable. I especially want to commend the front desk, clinic, and lobby lounge teams. Their service was superb.
