We had no power outages during our stay, and it's only a short walk into town. We often took a tricycle instead, for 15php per person, since the return walk is uphill and we were feeling lazy. The staff are friendly, and it's a family-run place. Their recommendations for calamian tours were spot on, and our trip with calamian tours went smoothly. Our room had a funny shape but was a good size, with a decent balcony and an outdoor rack and hangers for drying wet clothes. Nice little detail. The Wi-Fi was strong and surprisingly fast, and the TV had international channels. We were in a front-facing room directly under the restaurant, and there are lots of stairs to climb. The bathroom was the weakest part. Water pressure was extremely low, so I had to use the bucket and pail to get a proper shower. That cost it a star. The key came attached to a huge holder, presumably to stop guests losing it, but it couldn't be detached, even from the keyring, and was annoying to carry on island-hopping trips. Still, I'd recommend it to travelers watching their budget.

We paid a lot for very little, not even basic toiletries. We booked a family room but were given a tiny one that could barely fit three people. The sink leaked, the bathroom stank, and mornings were really noisy. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all. It's a bit outside the city.

The breakfast-area view is excellent. For the price, though, I found better quality rooms and a better experience in both Manila and Puerto Princesa. During my three-night stay I was moved three times. None of the three rooms had Wi-Fi, the shower was cold sometimes, and there was no mini-fridge.

The hotel massages were good, and the Wi-Fi worked well. There was no phone in the room. When we arrived, the bathroom smelled a bit, so I had to ask them to pour cleanser down the drain. The bathroom doorknob broke while my wife was inside. Staff took a few minutes to fix it, and after that things were fine.
