Coron Bluewave Hotel

The customer service was lovely, but we had a few room issues. Our first room, 201, had a shower that wasn't working properly, so we moved. There were also lots of ants, and room 101 was noisy since staff talked nearby. Plenty of tea there, though haha. On our last day, the receptionist taking my breakfast order forgot to pass it along to Sip & Savor, so it came late. She was the girl on the shift from 8pm onwards at April 16. It was frustrating, and she seemed new or unsure of what she was doing at reception. The AC was too hot. After staying at Weston Resort, this room was disappointing, though the food at weston is sooo bad.

The pool was really good, and the location was quiet while still walkable, just two roads away from the city's noise. Having seen other hotels around, this is probably the nicest in the area. Rooms were adequately sized and clean, but the AC couldn't cool them properly. One breakfast left me with food poisoning and in bed for two days. I blame myself for putting ice in my drink. On the final morning we'd booked a boat tour at reception, but it hadn't been booked with the company. When we checked at 830am because we hadn't been picked up, the staff panicked, called a car straight away, drove us to the port, and arranged a tour on the spot.

The staff were pleasant, the pool was clean, and I liked the location. The rest was rough. We found hundreds of ants, dirty pillows and towels, and stained sheets. The aircon was extremely loud, curtains let in light, and there was a random bright green light in the room. The shower curtain kept falling down, and someone hammered on the wall at 20:30pm. It's called a Suite, but it felt like a regular room. We tried breakfast once and didn't like it. I wouldn't stay again.

The walkways and stairs are gloss-painted concrete, so after they hose them down every morning they get slippery. The pool loungers shown in the advertising were actually hard, broken wooden benches with splinters. On my last day they were painting two rooms with severe mould, which seemed to cover up the moisture problem in this old hotel. My room was wet, including the walls, floor, and counters, and there was mould throughout the room and bathroom. They moved me, but the next room was the same, only worse. Then I was downgraded to a higher-level, cheaper room, with no compensation. There was exposed wiring and appliances in wet bathroom areas, which seemed dangerous. Housekeeping left my breakfast plate, and I came back to a room full of ants. Staff wouldn't come clean it, so I did it myself. They were unfriendly and often hid in corners on their phones. I contacted the hotel many times and got no reply. Owners need to take a hard look at this place. It feels extremely dangerous. To the owners, please respond to this review. Staff refused almost every request and said, "The Owners Refused all Requests."
