Coron Sanho Pension House

I chose this place for one night before catching an early ferry to El Nido, hoping for somewhere clean and affordable. The room was clean, the air conditioner worked, it wasn't damp, there was lots of hot water, and the staff were friendly. But after checkout I noticed bedbug bites all over me, and they bothered me for days. Horrible.

The breakfast choices were delicious, and the staff were really kind. Getting around was easy too, with everything close by. Just make sure you ask for a room away from the main road, or the noise can wake you early. On our final night, the power went out five times and the room got humid and uncomfortable.

We got there before 2 pm, but they let us check in early. The room was roomy enough for two, and the bathroom was clean. The place itself was nice, breakfast was good, and the hotel is near both the market and the island tour departure area.

The restaurant's Korean food was a real highlight. I had ramen and dumplings most nights, and it was some of the best food in Coron, maybe top two or three. Breakfast was included and basic but fine. The restaurant runs from 4 to 8. The hotel is beside the public markets, with most restaurants an easy walk away. Rooms are big and bright, and the Wi-Fi was good. There aren't many Western TV channels, though you should be out at the beaches anyway. The bed felt very hard at first, but I slept fine. The bathroom has the all-in-one shower setup, with no separation, but it's updated and the hot water is excellent. We had six outlets, but only two or three worked. The faulty ones made it almost impossible to plug anything in, and we broke an adapter and one outlet trying.
